December Meet Up - Holiday Event

Many group members have shown an interest in changing the CDMUG tempo for December. We have been planning a holiday event which would be social, not technical. We need recommendations for a bar/restaurant. Will wifi or laptops be required? Which day of the week and date is good for everyone?

Open Source Holiday Social @ Duke

The holiday meet up was on Tue Dec 18, 8:00 PM @ Duke of Perth Pub/Tavern inside the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. 20 members showed up and some people brought friends. The event was a success and it was great change in pace from standard CDMUG events. Rather than being slaves to a computer members enjoyed fine beers, whiskey, and spoke about interesting topics. Also, tourguide sponsored the first 5 pitchers and some appetizers to get the party started.

Some of us even made it to a second bar till' last call :)

No laptops were used at this event. There will be no chat log .
