I created a new Image Gallery section for the CDMUG.org website - please take a look and let us know what you think. The whole process was rather quick to install. I'd say less than 30 minutes to build it. BTW, this is an out-of-box solution to a gallery, no custom PHP code was used. That's the power of Drupal's CMS. In addition to CDMUG's new Image Gallery it was necessary to update the User Points configuration (admin/settings/userpoints) for posting an Image in the Gallery. 1 point will be rewarded to all users who upload an image to the gallery
