ERIE-Lois L. Taulbee, 84, from Erie, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Genesis Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday August 9, 2021 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline, Illinois. Visits will take place one hour before services. Reverend Scott Culley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Newton Township Cemetery in Erie. Briefs can be made at American Cancer Society.
Lois Lavina Call was born January 27, 1937 in Carbon Cliff, Illinois; the daughter of George Washington and Bernice Pearl (Gager) Call. Lois was one of ten children, she was the seventh. She attended United Township High School. Lois married James Taulbee on January 22, 1955 at the Baptist Church in Watertown, East Moline. She was proud to be a mother and a housewife.
Lois enjoyed making her own Christmas cards, knitting and crocheting, and making teddy bears from old coats. She loved playing video games, telling stories to her children and grandchildren; Lois was a child at heart.
Those who cherish her memory are her 66 year old husband, James Taulbee, Erie, her children, Patricia (Mike) Lambrecht, Hillsdale, Illinois, Brenda (Kevin) Kuelper, Grand Rapids, MI, Diana (Joe) Cardosi-Bussone, CA , James (Cindy) Taulbee, Jr., Colchester, Illinois, 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, brothers, Wesley Call, Belvidere, Illinois, Earnest (Lavonne) Call, Chicago, Illinois, and Dale Call, TX, and her sister, Shirley (Larry) Danielson, Davenport, Iowa.
She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Theresa Kirby, her grandson, Michael Rick, her sisters, Ina Pettit, Norma Caudry and Vivian Grymonprez, her brothers, Forrest Call and Jerry Call.
