CDMUG 2.0 Launched!

Yay, the new site is live. We are proud announce our upgrade to Drupal 6 and some great new features.

New Features

• A view of all Drupal books ever released. This is ideal for CDMUG because we belong to book publisher user groups. These publishers provide us free copies of Drupal related books in exchange for a review. Now users can easily post the review to CDMUG.org for everyone to enjoy on the Internet.
• Job posting board. Potential employers will contact CDMUG directly and we will post the job. Remember to check it frequently as these jobs are usually taken fairly quickly.
• CDMUG Blog. The only announcements you will see on cdmug.org is either our events or blog posts. The official CDMUG blog will only have information related to Chicago Drupal.

Changes

• CDMUG.org is no longer a social network.
• Forums and user blog's have been removed. The new site is a much more minimalistic approach to providing CDMUG a unique presence on the web.
• Users will not register on cdmug.org. We want to encourage members to register at drupal.org and groups.drupal.org/chicago .
• Users should register @ meetup.com because RSVP for events will take place @ meetup.com .
