Located in Grant Park. The Buckingham Fountain operates from mid April to mid October, depending on weather :-) Also beginning at dusk, every hour on the hour for 20 minutes the fountain's major water display is accompanied by a major light and music display. The final display of the evening begins at 10:00 p.m.
Another historical landmark in the city limits of Chicago is William W. Boyington's, Water Tower. In May of 1969, the Old Chicago Water Tower was selected by the American Water Works Association to be the first American Water Landmark in the nation. The tower was completed in 1869 and survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
